About RRPCEM

Laboratory of Biotechnology and Immunodiagnostics of High Dangerous Pathogens

Main area of researches:

  • Development of immuno - and molecular-biological diagnostic kits for highly dangerous pathogens (Lassa, Marburg, Ebola, Hendra, Nipah) and other viral and bacterial infections (lymphocytic choriomeningitis (LCM), tick-borne encephalitis (TBE), West Nile (WN), Congo-Crimian hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), dengue fever, hepatitis C and others);
  • Peptide mapping structural and non-structural proteins of viral and bacterial pathogens to develop of new diagnostic methods;
  • Development of new technologies in the field of epidemiology to clear the causes and mechanisms of the “disease X” appearance;
  • Creation of recombinant plasmid vectors to produce the recombinant peptides of antigen-significant sites of highly dangerous pathogens;
  • Training of scientific personnel in the field of Virology;
  • Advisory and methodological assistance to practical medicine.

Expected result

"Development of technological platform for epidemiological forecasting of new and emerging infectious diseases»

2020- 2025

250.000

A complex multiplex diagnosticum for seroepidemiological and molecular biological studies of biocenotic systems in the territory of the Any Country will be developed.

The introduction of the technology will create a basis for the systematic analysis and prediction of infections in the field of Biosafety of the country.

“Development of a multiplex immunoassay diagnostic test system to identify simultaneously markers of hepatitis C, B, HIV, LCM, WNV viruses, syphilis, etc.”

2020- 2025

250.000

The test system can be used in blood transfusion and transplantation

“Development of personalized immunocorrection technology to create an individual vaccine”

2020- 2025

250.000

It is planned to determine the spectrum of antibodies with further stimulation of their individual clones based on the use of peptide molecular motifs derived from bacteria (second genome).

Scientific interest

Scientific investigations. The study of the molecular and biological properties and characteristics of the main representatives of highly dangerous Filo-, Arena -, Hanta-, and Henipaviruses; development and improvement of molecular biological and immunological diagnostic test-systems, and their components; improvement of recombinant technologies; epidemiological surveillance of natural focal infections.

Practical activities: Production of ELISA-, PCR-test-systems and their components, medical kits for the isolation of nucleic acids.
