About RRPCEM

Laboratory for Clinical & Experimental Microbiology

Main R&D & Collaboration Trends:

  • phenotypic and genotypic characteristics study of pathogenic and commensal bacteria isolated from clinical material and environmental;

  • study of gene polymorphism determining resistance in bacterial isolates, monitor trends in antimicrobial resistance among bacteria from humans and antibiotic consumption in medical institutions;

  • study of morphological and functional properties of immune cells (B and T lymphocytes, dendritic cells) and molecules (cytokines) in infectious and immune diseases, the development immunomodulation and immunotherapy methods, polymorphism and gene expression of immune system cells by PCR and microarray;

  • biotechnological development in creating culture media and test-systems;

  • preparation of highly qualified scientific personnel, development of international scientific cooperation, assistance and practical health care.
